Amenities

Here at the Island Club of Hilton Head we offer several amenities for when you leave your beautiful condo to enjoy paradise around you. Below are some of highlights of staying at Island Club of Hilton Head

The Beach

The Island Club of Hilton Head is situated on a beautiful stretch of beach located on the heel of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Our property has five private beach accesses for owner/guest usage only. They are spaced out evenly at the back of our property for easy beach access.

Ramped beach accesses are located at the Atlantis Building 1 beach access and the Seawatch Building 7 beach access. Both of these accesses along with our main access at the Gazebo area are all equipped with beach mats leading you out to the hard-packed sand.

Each beach access is equipped with a showering station and a cook out area nearby for your convenience.

The Pool Decks

Located next to the Rotunda is our beautiful three tiered pool area. Each of the three decks is outfitted with several chaise lounges and pool chairs and tables, complete with umbrellas to escape into the shade before jumping back into our sparkling blue heated pool.

The lower tier houses our Kid’s Pool, complete with bubblers, water arcs and a giant raining mushroom in the center. The entire pool is a foot deep and perfect for younger children! Please make sure your infants and toddlers are wearing swim diapers if they are prone to accidents to prevent any kind of pool contamination. If an accident occurs please contact the Island Club Courtesy Team or a Rotunda Staff member immediately.

The middle tier is where the main/lap pool is located. The most notable feature of the lap pool is the beautiful water feature that creates a stunning waterfall from just below the garden planter. This pool ranges from 3 feet to 5 1/2 feet deep. We keep this pool heated (accordingly) until November and reopen it again in early Spring. Please note that this pool prohibits any kind of diving or jumping off of the garden planter. Also climbing on the garden planter wall or ledge underneath the waterfall is strictly prohibited.

The top tier is home to our large hot tub and our tanning shelf. The hot tub is kept between 100-103 degrees until late November and then reopens again in early Spring. This upper tier is off limits to children under the age of 10 years old.

Please remember that glass containers or bottles are not allowed in the pool area at any time. The pool hours are 7:00am until 10:00pm seven days a week. During the Winter when the pools are not heated, the decks are open for lounging.

The Gazebo Area

Between the Atlantis and Neptune buildings is our beautiful Gazebo area. This is home to our main beach access which includes a large sun deck, outfitted with lots of bench seating and chaise lounges.

The Gazebo itself has several picnic tables, propane and charcoal grills, and a playground for younger children. The large well manicured lawn is spacious enough for a game of frisby, and several cornhole and ladder golf games are provided for some friendly competition while you’re grilling out with family and friends! The Gazebo has also been used for wedding receptions, graduation parties, and other special events.

Grilling Station

Grills of any kind are not allowed on porches, balconies or breezeways. However, the property is well equipped to meet all of our owners and guests grilling needs. There are several grilling stations located throughout the property. Along with the charcoal grills and picnic tables, there are an additional seven propane gas grills available for usage.

The Island Club Courtesy Team monitors the propane tanks on a daily basis and replaces empty ones as soon as they are discovered. If the propane tank at your grill is low or empty, please contact the Island Club Gatehouse at 843-785-2586 and the staff member on duty can replace the tank for you.

Also, please remember to clean the grilling station up after you have used it and if tank is low, inform the Island Club Courtesy Team so they can be prepared to swap out the empty tank! Any issues you have with a grilling station should be reported immediately to the Island Club Courtesy Team.

Lawn Games

laddergolfTo provide more fun and entertainment for our owners and guests, we’ve introduced some lawn games to the Gazebo Area. You may be familiar with both of these games, but if you’re not, they’re easy to catch on to. The first of them is Ladder Golf. Ladder Golf is the new backyard sensation and quite addicting once you get the hang of tossing the bolas!

Players stand somewhere between 5 paces and 15 feet away from “the ladder” – which is your target. The top rung/step of the ladder is worth 3 points, the middle step is worth 2 points and the bottom rung is worth 1 point. The goal is to score 21 points by the end of a round.

Each round consists of each player making 3 bola tosses. The bola is 2 golf balls connected together by a nylon rope. Once both players have thrown 3 bolas each, the points are counted and you continue into the next round until someone scores 21 points exactly. Points are always counted at the end of a round in case one player manages to knock off a bola belonging to his or her opponent.

cornholeThe other highly addicting game that has been introduced to the property is Cornhole, or Corn Toss, Bean Bag Toss, Indiana Horseshoes, Soft Horseshoes, Bean Bag, Bean Toss, etc. This has become such a hit, there is even an American Cornhole Association.

The goal of Cornhole is similar to Ladder Golf, you want to score 21 points. If you can land a bean bag on the Cornhole platform that will score you one point, if you can land the bag in the hole, that scores 3 points. Players take turns throwing until someone scores 21 points.

It is recommended that players stand as far as 30 feet away, however we’re not professional Cornhole players here, and take a more leisurely approach! Feel free to check out the Official Cornhole Rules for more details. And might we add, they are highly detailed!

Both chargers can charge Tesla and non-Tesla electronic vehicles and plug-in hybrids. The chargers are kept locked up and are managed by the Courtesy Team.
