If you are a guest who is planning to come stay at Island Club and have questions about your reservation or specifics about the unit you’re staying in, you will need to contact the rental agency or agent that you rented through. The Property Management office does not handle any rental management.
Driving Directions & Nearby Airports
Here are the instructions from I-95 to the Island Club:
Take exit 8 off I-95 and proceed on Highway 278 toward Hilton Head Island. After crossing the bridges onto Hilton Head Island, stay on Business Highway 278. Just before getting to mile marker 6, turn left at the traffic light on Folly Field Road. Drive .4 miles and turn left to stay on Folly Field Road. Drive .5 miles further, until you reach us at 85 Folly Field Road. Our gate house will be on your right.

Before You Arrive
Here are some important things to know before you make your way to Island Club of Hilton Head. Familiarize yourself with our full rules & regulations.
- Motorcycles, Recreation Vehicles, Campers, private-use Golf Carts, Mokes, Slingshots and Trailers are not allowed on property.
- Pets are not allowed. Exceptions are whole-ownership deeded owners and emotional support / service animals. Whole-ownership deeded owners need to contact the Gatehouse for a pet registration form. Guests with emotional support / service animals need to provide proper paperwork to the rental agent/agency they are going through who should forward the information to our Gatehouse.
- When you arrive, if the gate is closed then our Courtesy Team member is on patrol or assisting an owner/guest; use ##001 at the gate control box to contact them for access to the property. You will need to provide your name and the unit # you are going to. There is always a Courtesy Team member on property. There is a sign with the instructions at the gate control box.
- If you are a late arrival, knowing the Unit # or building name you are staying in can help the after-hours check in experience run smoothly. With so many self-rentals, rental management companies and online booking/accommodation marketplaces*, the more information you have with you, the easier it is for our Courtesy Team to assist you.
- All owners and guests on property must have a parking decal or parking pass. If you are renting, your rental company or self-renting owner should have contacted the Gatehouse to alert them of your arrival. If you have additional guests coming, please let the Gatehouse know when you arrive or contact the Gatehouse prior to your guest’s arrival.
- Our stocked lagoon allows catch and release fishing with no fishing license required due to it being on private property. No nets or traps can be used. No swimming, boating, or remote controlled devices are allowed in the lagoon.
* Our gate staff have had several issues in the past few years with guests who booked through 3rd party online booking/accommodation marketplaces (Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia.com, VRBO etc.) If you book a unit through one of these, they need to provide you a PREFERABLY with a unit number. “85” or “85 Folly Field Road” is the PROPERTY address. This does not help our Gate Staff send you to the correct unit. There are 294 units on this property. Your reservation needs a unit number or a contact (owner/rental agency) that you can contact ahead of time for the unit number. We stress this because if no one informs our Gate Staff of your reservation (which includes unit number) – and this happens – and this information is not on your reservation email/paperwork, there is no way for the Gate Staff to know which unit you are supposed to be checking in to and it will be on the guest to acquire this much needed information.
For rental companies and self-renting owners who need to request a gate pass for your guest(s), please visit The Island Club Courtesy Team’s official website located at www.islandclubgate.com. There is an online request form that you can fill out or you may email the pass information to passes@islandclubgate.com – If you are a guest, you do NOT need to request a pass. Your rental company / agent should do it for you.
